With Interstate 40 running through the southern part of the county you don’t have to miss out on events and attractions such as the Nashville Zoo. It is less than 45 minutes away and is the 9th largest zoo in the US.  With over 6000 animals and year-round events it’s a great place to take the family.  In addition to the animals, they also have a playground for kids, a carousel, a train ride, and zip line.

If you are like me you love to eat and don’t always want to cook.  Well, Dickson has some great local restaurants such as Lugos, Cindy’s Cafe, Stuffys Frosty Jug, Catfish Kitchen, and some of the best burgers in the state at Tony B’s.

 

New Playground & Splash Pad

Just recently it was announced that Dickson will be getting a huge playground splash pad that will be about 29000 sq ft and will be equipped with shade, a pavilion, musical feature, and playground equipment not found anywhere else in Tennessee.  The plan is for it to be open in July of 2021.
